By registering for SusHacks 2026, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before completing your registration.
SusHacks 2026 is open to all currently enrolled students. Participants must be at least 13 years of age. Organisers and judges are not eligible to compete.
Teams must have between 1 and 4 members. All members must be individually registered and must attend the event in person. Remote participation is not permitted.
Each participant may only be a member of one registered team. Being listed on multiple teams will result in disqualification of all teams involved.
The registration fee is ₹500 per team, regardless of team size. Payment must be made via UPI to the account details provided during registration.
Registration is confirmed only after an organiser manually verifies your payment screenshot. Submitting a fraudulent screenshot will result in permanent disqualification and may be reported.
Registration fees are non-refundable once payment is confirmed, except at the sole discretion of the organising committee in exceptional circumstances. Rejected payments are fully refundable.
If registrations exceed capacity, teams may be placed on a waitlist. Waitlisted teams will be notified and given priority if spots become available. Waitlisted teams are not charged until confirmed.
All intellectual property rights in your project remain with your team. SusHacks does not claim any ownership over ideas, code, or designs you create during the event.
By participating, you grant SusHacks a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to feature your project name, description, and screenshots in event recaps, social media, and promotional materials.
While not required, we strongly encourage participants to open-source their projects. Any open-source code must comply with its respective licence terms.
All projects must be submitted before the announced deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances, including technical difficulties on the participant's side.
All submitted code and design must be created during the hackathon window. Using libraries, public APIs, and AI tools is permitted. Projects built prior to the event start are disqualified.
Submissions must not contain illegal, offensive, defamatory, or hateful content. The organising team reserves the right to disqualify any submission at their discretion.
Prizes will be distributed to the team leader's provided bank account or UPI handle within 14 days of the event. Winners must provide valid payment details.
Projects are judged on innovation, technical implementation, impact, and presentation. Judges' decisions are final and binding. The organising team does not influence judging outcomes.
Prize winners are solely responsible for any taxes applicable to their winnings under Indian law. SusHacks will provide necessary documentation upon request.
All participants must comply with the SusHacks Code of Conduct at all times during the event. Violations may result in removal without refund.
Participants must follow all rules of VIIT campus, including access restrictions, noise policies, and safety regulations. Overnight stays are subject to venue-specific rules communicated at registration.
SusHacks is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the event. Participants are advised to keep valuables secure.
SusHacks 2026 is a student-organised event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organising team, VIIT, and associated clubs disclaim all liability for loss, injury, or damage arising from participation.
SusHacks reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event in case of circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, campus lockdowns, safety emergencies). In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule or provide refunds where possible.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered participants. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
